Alright, let’s talk about these astrology stickers. You know, the little sticky things with all them stars and signs and stuff? Yeah, them.
I seen ’em everywhere now. Kids stickin’ ’em on their water bottles, on their phones, even on their dang laptops! Back in my day, we didn’t have none of this fancy sticker business. If you wanted to decorate somethin’, you drew on it with a pencil, or maybe you glued on a picture from a magazine if you was feelin’ fancy. But stickers? Nah, we didn’t have time for that. Too busy workin’ on the farm.
But these astrology stickers, they somethin’ else. They got all sorts of different pictures on ’em. You got your zodiac signs, like that there ram for Aries, or the crab for Cancer, or the fish for Pisces. My grandson, he’s a Leo, so he’s got that lion sticker all over the place. Says it makes him feel strong, like a king of the jungle, or somethin’ like that. Kids these days, always dreamin’ big.
And it ain’t just the signs, neither. They got stickers with the moon on ’em, and the sun, and all them other planets. I don’t know much about all that space stuff, but them stickers sure are pretty. All shiny and colorful. Reminds me of them fancy Christmas ornaments they sell in the city, the ones that cost a whole week’s worth of groceries.

Now, I ain’t sayin’ I understand all this astrology stuff. I mean, I know my birthday, and I know my sign, but that’s about it. My mama always said, “Hard work and a good heart, that’s all you need to get by.” She didn’t need no stars to tell her that.
But these stickers, they ain’t hurtin’ nobody. And if they make folks happy, well, then I guess that’s alright. My granddaughter, she’s got a whole book full of ’em. She trades ’em with her friends, sticks ’em on everything she owns. It’s like a whole ‘nother language to them kids. They talk about their “moon signs” and their “rising signs” and all this other gibberish. I just nod my head and smile. As long as they ain’t causin’ trouble, I don’t care what they stick on their stuff.
I seen some folks sellin’ these stickers, too. Handmade ones, they say. Guess that means they drew ’em themselves, or maybe printed ’em on some fancy machine. They charge a pretty penny for ’em, too. But folks buy ’em, so I guess they worth it. It’s like them fancy coffees, you know? Costs a fortune, but people line up around the block to get ’em. Goes to show, people will spend their money on all sorts of things.
So, if you like these astrology stickers, go ahead and get yourself some. Stick ’em on your car, stick ’em on your forehead, I don’t care. It ain’t my business what you do with your money or your stuff. Just don’t go thinkin’ them stickers gonna change your life or nothin’. You still gotta get up in the mornin’ and go to work, or take care of the kids, or whatever it is you gotta do. The stars ain’t gonna do that for ya. But if a little sticker makes you smile, well, then I guess that’s a good thing. We all need a little somethin’ to make us smile these days.
And that’s the truth about them astrology decals, as far as I can tell. They’re pretty, they’re popular, and they ain’t goin’ nowhere anytime soon. Horoscope stickers are just another one of them newfangled things young people are into. And just like them ripped jeans and loud music, I reckon I’ll get used to ’em eventually. Or maybe I won’t. Like I said, it don’t matter none to me.
