Alright, let’s talk about them… whatchamacallits… Los Angeles Kings bobbleheads. You know, those little shaky-head dolls? Yeah, those things.
I saw some pictures online, these little fellas. Some look like real people, some like…cartoons, I guess. Kings bobbleheads, they call ’em. Never seen one in person, mind you. Back in my day, we had dolls made of corn husks, not this fancy plastic stuff.
So, what are these Kings bobbleheads anyway? Well, from what I gather, they’re little figures, made to look like hockey players. The Los Angeles Kings, to be exact. They got big ol’ heads that wobble around. Silly, if you ask me, but folks seem to like ’em.
You got all sorts, I hear. Wayne Gretzky one, they say he’s a big shot in hockey. Never heard of him myself. Then there’s some mascot one, a lion or somethin’, named Bailey. Holiday ones too, with little hats and scarves. They even got ones that look like old-timers, legends they call ’em. Luc somethin’-or-other. Too many names to remember for an old gal like me.

- Bailey the Mascot bobblehead
- Holiday themed bobbleheads
- Legends bobbleheads (Luc Robitaille)
Where do you get these things? Well, seems like you can find them all over. Fanatics, that’s a big store, they got ’em. FOCO too. And this eBay place, they got all sorts of old stuff. Even Amazon, the everything store, sells ‘em. Imagine that! You can buy a little shaky-head doll from the comfort of your own rocking chair, if you had one of them newfangled computers, that is.
Some folks, they collect these things. Bobblehead collection, they call it. Imagine that! Fillin’ your house with these little dolls. To each their own, I guess. They got these mini helmets too, not bobbleheads, but still… Kings stuff. Guess if you like the Kings, you like all their… paraphernalia.
Now, I don’t know much about hockey, or the Los Angeles Kings. Seems like a rough sport, all that skatin’ and hittin’. But these little bobbleheads, they seem harmless enough. Just little plastic fellas, wobblin’ their heads. Collectible figurines, they say. Worth money, some of ‘em, apparently. Who’d a thunk it?
I saw some talk about vintage ones. Old ones, I guess. Vintage bobbleheads. Probably cost a pretty penny. Folks are always willin’ to pay for old stuff. Reminds them of the good ol’ days, maybe. Though, I reckon my good ol’ days didn’t have much plastic in ‘em.
And these Funko things? Little square-headed fellas. They got Kings ones too. Luc Robitaille, they say. Looks like a toy a child would play with, but I hear grown-ups collect these too. Funko POP figures, they call ‘em. Land sakes, the names they come up with!
So, there you have it. My take on these Los Angeles Kings bobbleheads. Little shaky-head dolls, made to look like hockey players. You can buy ‘em online, collect ‘em, display ‘em, whatever tickles your fancy. Me? I’ll stick to my corn husk dolls. At least I know where they come from.
But hey, if those bobbleheads make folks happy, who am I to judge? Just seems like a lot of fuss over a little shaky head, if you ask me.
