Okay, so I wanted to get into tarot reading, and I figured the best way to start was to have a handy guide for interpreting the cards. I thought having a PDF on my phone would be perfect, so I wouldn’t have to lug around a book or flip through physical cards while learning.
Finding the Right Resources
First, I searched around for some good tarot card meanings. You know, just simple explanations for each card that I could quickly understand. I found a few websites and blogs that had some decent information. I spent maybe an hour just reading through and getting a basic feel for the different cards.
Compiling the Information
Then, I started copying and pasting the descriptions that I liked into a Google Doc. I wasn’t super picky, I just grabbed what seemed helpful at first glance. I figured I could always refine it later. After a couple of hours, I had a pretty long document filled with all sorts of card interpretations.
Formatting for Readability
The document was a mess, though. Just a wall of text. So, I went through and added some basic formatting. I bolded the names of the cards and used bullet points for the different meanings. I tried to keep it simple so it would be easy to read on my phone. I didn’t want any fancy formatting that’s hard to read.
- Major Arcana: Gave these guys their own section.
- Minor Arcana: Divided these by suit (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles).
Converting to PDF
Once I was happy with the formatting, I downloaded the document as a PDF. This was super easy, just a couple of clicks in Google Docs. Now I had a nice, clean PDF that I could easily view on my phone or any other device. I have to transfer the PDF file to my phone.
Adding Personal Notes
I started using the PDF while doing some practice readings. As I learned more and developed my own interpretations, I wanted to add my own notes. Since it was a PDF, I couldn’t just edit it directly. So, I used a free PDF editor online to add some notes and highlights. I just typed in my thoughts next to the relevant card meanings.
The End Result
Now I have a personalized tarot card interpretation guide that I can carry with me anywhere. It’s not perfect, but it’s a great starting point. I can keep updating it as I learn more, and it’s way more convenient than flipping through a book or physical cards. I can just open it up on my phone whenever I need a quick reference. It’s not fancy, but it does the job!
