Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Anew Psychological Services place. I ain’t no fancy doctor or nothin’, but I hear tell it’s a place for folks who got troubles in their heads and hearts.
Started up back in 2018, they say. Seems like yesterday, but time flies like a bat outta hell, don’t it? Anyways, they’re up there in Northwest Houston and Kingwood, and down in Pearland too. So, they’re kinda all over the place, helpin’ folks out.
What do they do? Well, it sounds like they poke around in your head a bit, tryin’ to figure out what’s makin’ ya tick. They call it “psychological testing” and “therapy.” Sounds fancy, I know. But from what I gather, it’s just talkin’ to someone who knows a thing or two about feelin’ bad or thinkin’ strange.
- They got folks for kids, grown-ups, and even whole families. Lord knows, families can be a handful.
- If your young’un’s havin’ trouble in school, they can check ’em out, see if somethin’ ain’t right. They call it “school evaluations,” I think.
- And if you’re all fidgety and can’t sit still, they might say you got somethin’ called ADHD. They can test for that too. Heck, back in my day, we just called it “havin’ ants in your pants.”
They got these folks they call “clinical psychologists.” Sounds important, right? They’re the ones doin’ all the talkin’ and testin’. They help folks with all sorts of problems. You know, feelin’ sad all the time, worryin’ too much, or actin’ out. Stuff like that.
Now, I ain’t been there myself, mind you. But I know folks who have, and they say it helped ’em a lot. It ain’t like in the old days, where you just kept your problems to yourself and suffered in silence. Nowadays, folks are more open about gettin’ help, and that’s a good thing, I reckon.
This one fella I know, he was always angry, yellin’ at his wife and kids. Went to Anew, and they figured out he had some stuff from his childhood that was botherin’ him. He talked it out with that psychologist, and now he’s a whole new man. Calmer, kinder. It’s like a miracle, I tell ya.
And that little girl down the street, she was always so shy, wouldn’t talk to nobody. Her mama took her to Anew, and they helped her come outta her shell. Now she’s chatterin’ away like a magpie.
So, what’s it all mean? Well, I figure it means there’s help out there if you need it. If you’re feelin’ lost or broken, or if your family’s fallin’ apart, there’s folks at Anew who might be able to lend a hand. They ain’t gonna judge ya or make ya feel bad. They’re just there to listen and help ya find your way back to feelin’ good again.
They say they work with somethin’ called “FIDO.” I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. Maybe it’s like trainin’ a dog, but for your brain? Anyways, they seem to know what they’re doin’. They’ve been doin’ it for a while now, and folks seem to be happy with ’em.
Proud to serve Northwest Houston, they say. Well, good on ’em, I say. It’s good to know there’s folks out there who care about helpin’ others. We all need a little help sometimes, whether we want to admit it or not.
So, if you’re lookin’ for someone to talk to, someone to help you sort out your troubles, maybe give Anew Psychological Services a call. It might just be the best thing you ever do.
I don’t know all the fancy words or nothin’, but I know a good thing when I see it. And from what I hear, Anew Psychological Services is a good thing. They’re helpin’ folks, and that’s all that matters in the end.
