Alright, so the other day, I decided to give this whole “charging tarot cards” thing a try. I’ve been using my tarot deck for a while now, and I figured it was time to give it a little energy boost. I did some digging around and found a few ways to do it, so I thought, why not experiment a bit?
First things first, I wanted to clean my cards. I mean, they’ve been through a lot of readings, and I figured they might have picked up some weird vibes along the way. So, I grabbed my sage stick – yeah, I have one of those – lit it up, and let the smoke waft over each card. It felt a bit like giving them a spiritual shower, you know? I did this outside, ’cause, well, smoke alarms are a thing.
The Sunlight Method
- Step 1: Find a Sunny Spot
After the cleansing, I decided to try the sun method first. I laid my cards out on my windowsill where the sun was shining bright.
- Step 2: Leave to Bake
I left them there for a good few hours, letting them soak up all that sunny goodness. I imagined the sunlight just zapping them with positive energy, like a solar-powered battery recharge.
- Step 3: Flip if Needed
I even went back halfway through and flipped each card to make sure both sides got their share of the light. Gotta be thorough, right?
The Moonlight Method
- Step 1: Wait for a Full Moon
Next up, I wanted to try the moonlight method. Luckily, there was a full moon coming up. When the night came, I placed my deck outside on my balcony, under the direct moonlight.
- Step 2: Place Outside
It looked pretty magical, I gotta say. The moon was big and bright, and I felt like it was really doing something to the cards.
- Step 3: Leave Overnight
I left them out there all night, and in the morning, I brought them back in.
The Crystal Method
- Step 1: Choose a Crystal
I also tried the crystal method. I have this big clear quartz that I love, and I read that it’s good for charging things.
- Step 2: Place on Deck
I cleaned the crystal under some running water, then placed it right on top of my deck.
- Step 3: Leave for Several Hours
I left it like that for a whole day, figuring the crystal’s energy would transfer to the cards.
After each method, I took some time to just sit quietly with my deck. I shuffled the cards, held them in my hands, and tried to feel if there was any difference. I also made sure to avoid any crowded or loud places afterward, giving myself some space to really connect with the cards in a calm setting.
Honestly, I did feel like the cards had a different energy afterward. They felt more… alive, I guess? Like they were ready to give clearer, more vibrant readings. It might all be in my head, but hey, it felt good, and that’s what matters, right? I’ll definitely be doing this again. It’s like giving your tarot deck a little spa day – everyone needs one of those every now and then!
