Okay, guys, so I’ve been wanting to get into tarot cards for a while now, and I finally took the plunge and got myself a deck of Marseille tarot cards. This whole process has been quite an experience, and I thought I’d share it with y’all.
First off, finding the right deck was a thing. I spent hours browsing online, looking at different designs and reading reviews. I eventually settled on a traditional Marseille deck from a well-reviewed seller.
When the cards finally arrived, I was stoked! I cleared a space on my desk, lit a candle, and made sure I was in a good headspace. This is important, you know? You don’t want to bring any negative vibes to the reading.
Then, I opened the deck and just spent some time getting to know the cards. Flipping through them, feeling the texture, looking at the images. I read somewhere that you should connect with your cards before using them, so that’s what I did.
Next, I tried to do a simple reading. I had read a few guides online about how to do it. I started by shuffling the cards while focusing on a question I had. I mean, I was just doing a general reading about my current situation. Then, I cut the deck and pulled a single card. It was “The World” card. Pretty cool, right?
I looked up the meaning of the card online and in the little booklet that came with the deck. It was interesting to see how it resonated with what’s going on in my life. It’s like the card was reflecting my inner self back at me.
Practice Makes Perfect
I’ve been practicing almost daily, and it’s been a really cool experience. I keep a journal to track my readings, and I’ve noticed that my intuition is getting stronger. It takes time to learn all the meanings and stuff, but I’m getting there. I pulled three cards at first, and now I can pull five cards at a time. It’s not easy, but I try hard every day.
Here are some things I’ve learned along the way:
- Create a calm and quiet space for your readings.
- Cleanse your cards regularly. I just leave mine out in the moonlight.
- Trust your intuition. Don’t overthink it.
- Keep a journal to track your progress.
- Don’t use the cards in anger, malice, nor if you feel upset, jealous.
This whole tarot thing has been a journey of self-discovery. It’s like having a conversation with myself, but through the cards. I’m really glad I decided to give it a try. I’ll keep practicing and learning. If any of you guys are into tarot, I’d love to hear about your experiences!
