Okay, so I’ve been messing around with tarot cards forever, right? And I thought, why not try to make some money off this? So, I decided to start an online tarot reading business. Here’s how it all went down.
Deciding What to Offer
First, I had to figure out what kind of readings I wanted to do. There are tons of options out there, like love, career, general life stuff. I’m pretty good at reading about relationships, so I figured I’d focus on that. Plus, it seemed like a lot of people are looking for guidance in that area, you know? I chose to start a YouTube channel. I could offer general tarot reading to people for free. I also offer paid personal readings. I can set my own fees for those services.
Setting Up Shop
Next, I needed a way for people to find me and book readings. I’m not super techy, so I went with a simple website builder. I made a basic website with a contact form and some info about me and my readings. Nothing fancy, just enough to look legit. I also set up a way for people to pay me online. That was a bit of a headache, but I managed to figure it out.
Getting the Word Out
This was the hard part. I started by telling all my friends and family, of course. I posted on my social media, made some videos explaining my services. I even joined some online tarot groups to connect with potential clients. It was slow going at first, but gradually people started to find me. I also started a blog where I wrote about tarot and relationships. That helped to bring in some traffic too, I think.
Doing the Readings
Once people started booking readings, I had to, you know, actually do them. I decided to do all my readings through video calls. That way, I could still connect with people face-to-face, even though we were online. It took some getting used to, but I eventually got into a good rhythm. I make sure to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, even though it’s online. I light some candles, have my cards ready, and try to make my clients feel comfortable.
Learning and Growing
It’s definitely been a learning process. I’ve had to figure out how to market myself, how to manage my time, and how to deal with different kinds of clients. Some people are super easy to read for, others are a bit more challenging. But I’m always trying to improve my skills and learn new techniques. I started with $5 per reading, and now I’m up to $50, but the goal is to be able to charge $250.
Making It Work
Honestly, it’s not easy. There are days when I feel like giving up. But then I get a message from a client telling me how much my reading helped them, and it makes it all worth it. It’s really rewarding to be able to use my skills to help people navigate their lives. And the extra money doesn’t hurt either!
Dealing with the Cards
I have some decks that are pretty rare. At first, I didn’t know what they were worth, so I looked them up on those online stores. I sold a few on those sites and even found a couple of groups on Facebook where people buy and sell tarot cards. That was a nice little side income.
Thinking About the Future
So, yeah, it’s definitely possible to make a career out of this. More and more people are getting into tarot and spirituality. I’m not sure if I’ll be doing this forever, but for now, it’s a pretty cool way to make a living. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll be a famous tarot reader. A girl can dream, right?
- I started by figuring out my niche.
- Then I created a simple website.
- I promoted my business online and to people I know.
- I began offering readings through video calls.
- I’m constantly learning and improving.
- I also sold some of my rare tarot decks online.
It’s been a wild ride, but I’m glad I took the plunge. It’s not always easy, but it’s definitely fulfilling. And hey, who doesn’t love making money doing something they enjoy?
