Okay, so today I tried out this thing called the “Joie de Vivre Tarot.” Sounds fancy, right? It basically means “joy of living” in French. I saw someone use it online, and the art, done by this artist named Paulina Cassidy, looked really cool, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
First, I had to get my hands on a deck. I found one online, and let me tell you, these cards are like little works of art. Each one has these whimsical, kind of dreamlike creatures on them. Like, there’s a Mad Hatter-looking guy on the Magician card and a space mouse on the 8 of Wands. Seriously, they’re pretty neat.
So, the whole point of tarot is to ask a question and then pull cards, which are supposed to give you an answer. I wasn’t sure what to ask at first. My life’s pretty good, you know? But then I thought, maybe I’d ask about my career. It’s going well, but there’s always room to grow, right?
I shuffled the cards, focusing on my question: “What’s next for me in my career?” I pulled three cards, just like I saw in a tutorial video.
- The first card was the 10 of Swords. Now, I did a little digging, and apparently, this one can sometimes mean an ending or a big change. Initially I was worried that the card was a death card, but after asking some friends I found out that it wasn’t and that I shouldn’t worry too much about it.
- The second card I pulled was the Wheel of Fortune. This one felt way more positive. From what I understand, it’s all about destiny, luck, and success. Felt like a good sign!
- The last card was the 5 of Cups. This one was a bit of a mixed bag. It showed someone looking sad, but there were still some cups standing upright. My take on it is that it means there might be some disappointments, but not everything is lost.
Putting it all together, here’s what I think it means for my career question: There might be a significant change coming up, maybe even an ending of some sort. But, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It could be leading to something better, something lucky even. And while there might be some setbacks along the way, I shouldn’t lose hope.
My Conclusion
Honestly, I went into this tarot thing feeling a bit skeptical. But I have to say, it was a fun experience. Even if you don’t believe in the whole fortune-telling aspect, it’s a good way to reflect on things. Those cards, with their symbols and all, they really got me thinking about my career path and what I want for the future. Plus, the Joie de Vivre deck is just so darn pretty to look at. It’s like a little dose of joy in itself.
I’m not sure if I’ll become a regular tarot reader or anything, but I definitely see the appeal. It’s like a little self-discovery journey, you know? And who knows, maybe there is something to this whole destiny thing after all. I guess time will tell! Did any of you also try it out? How was your experience?
