Alright, let’s talk about this Angelababy girl and her Weibo stuff. I don’t know much about these young folks and their internet things, but my grandkids keep yapping about it, so here we go.
First off, who is this Angelababy anyway? Sounds like a made-up name to me. My name’s just plain Mary, ain’t nothin’ fancy about it. Anyways, this Angelababy, she’s apparently a big deal on something called Weibo. Weibo, Weibo… sounds like some kind of newfangled washing machine. But no, it’s like, uh, their online town square, I guess. Where everyone goes to gossip and show off.
Seems like she posts a lot of pictures. Pictures of herself, pictures of… well, I don’t even know what half of it is. Lots of fancy clothes and makeup. Back in my day, we wore what we had and that was that. No time for all this primping and posing. But I guess that’s how they do things now.
My grandson told me she had some trouble last year. Something about a show, a “Crazy Horse” show? Sounded mighty scandalous to me. Folks got all riled up, and she got, what do you call it, “banned” from Weibo for a spell? Serves her right, I say. Gotta watch what you do and say, especially when everyone’s lookin’. Grandma always said, “If you don’t have nothin’ nice to say, don’t say nothin’ at all.” Guess that applies to shows too, huh?
- She’s always posting pictures and stuff.
- Seems like she got in trouble for watching some show.
- People talk about her a lot, that’s for sure.
Now, she’s back on Weibo, posting again. My granddaughter showed me some pictures. She’s always got some fancy words written underneath, all in that fancy font. “Wind around you,” “miss you,” all that lovey-dovey stuff. Honestly, it’s a bit much for an old lady like me. Give me a good hymn any day. But I guess that’s what the youngsters like.
She also uses these things called hashtags. #Angelababy this and #Angelababy that. It’s like putting little labels on everything. My grandkid says it helps people find her posts. Sounds like a whole lotta work to me. I just yell across the fence if I need to find someone.
And the fans! Oh, the fans are somethin’ else. They leave her all sorts of comments, praising her and telling her how pretty she is. Reminds me of the hens clucking around the rooster. All that fuss over someone they don’t even know. But I guess that’s what makes her famous, all that attention. It’s a strange world, this internet world.
My grandson said she even has trouble with people online, always arguing and judging each other. He said that she got divorce with晓明. Tsk tsk, that ain’t right. People shouldn’t be mean to each other, online or offline. It’s like Grandma used to say, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Seems like folks forgot that lesson these days. But maybe that Angelababy girl isn’t so innocent in all this neither. Can’t always trust those city folk, with their fancy ways.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about Angelababy and her Weibo. Seems like a whole lot of fuss over nothin’ much, if you ask me. But hey, I’m just an old lady. What do I know about these young folks and their internet games?
But I will say this, all this internet stuff, it can be dangerous. You gotta be careful what you put out there, and you gotta be careful who you talk to. It ain’t like the old days, where everyone knew everyone. Now, you got strangers from all over the world lookin’ at your business. So, be smart, be careful, and don’t believe everything you see online.
That’s my advice, for what it’s worth. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
