I don’t know about all that, but it sure sounds interesting. She was saying, it ain’t really telling the future, not like them fortune tellers at the fair. It’s more like, it helps you think. Makes you look inside yourself, she said. Like, what are you worried about? What are you hoping for?
She said these fortune cookie tarot readings are a way to figure out your life. It’s kind of like them tarot cards.

Then you think about what it means for you. She says it can be a good way to figure out your challenges. Challenges, like, you know, problems. And rewards, she calls it, like, when you do good, good comes back to you.
Now, I always thought them little papers in the cookies were just for fun. You know, “You will have good luck.” “You will meet a tall, dark stranger.” Stuff like that. Never thought they were serious. But she said, some folks take them real serious. They use them like them tarot cards, to make decisions and all.
She said it’s all about what you believe. If you believe in something, it feels real, don’t it? If you don’t, it doesn’t. Simple as that, she says. Some people think these cookies can show them the way, show them the path. I don’t know, but it makes you wonder.

Then you pick another one, and it says something about taking a chance. She said that’s the universe, or something, trying to tell you something. Like, maybe you need to be brave and take a chance on something.
She even said that tarot can be about love. Tarot reading, she called it. Said it can help you figure out your love life. I don’t know about that, but she seemed to think so. Said it can give you hints, or something, about your relationships. I don’t know, but it is kind of interesting.
Fortune cookie tarot, she kept saying it. Over and over. It’s like, she really believes in it. I guess if you really look at them cookies and think about what the little paper says, it might mean something. Might not tell you the winning lottery numbers, but maybe it will tell you something about yourself. And maybe that’s worth something.
She says you should try it. Said it might surprise you. Might make you think about things in a new way. I guess it don’t hurt to try. Maybe next time I get Chinese food, I’ll pay more attention to that little cookie. Maybe I’ll ask it a question, just for fun. See what it says.
