So, I’ve been messing around with this whole K-pop astrology thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I started off just curious, you know? Like, I’m a huge K-pop fan, and I’ve always been into zodiac signs, so I thought, why not combine the two? It seemed like a fun little project.
First things first, I needed to gather some data. I spent hours on these K-pop forums and websites, trying to figure out the birthdates of all my favorite idols. It’s not as easy as you’d think! Some of these groups have, like, a million members. But I’m stubborn, so I kept at it. I made this huge spreadsheet, it was really a huge one, listing every idol, their group, and their birthday.
- Stray Kids members’ birthdays
- Le sserafim members’ birthdays
- BTS members’ birthdays
Then came the astrology part. I’m no expert, but I know the basics. I started matching up each idol’s birthday to their zodiac sign. Like, I found out that Jeonghan from Seventeen is a Libra. I read somewhere that Libras are supposed to be all charming and diplomatic, and I was like, “Yeah, that kinda fits.” And it does fit well, right? I mean, he’s like the angel member, so that was fun.
Digging Deeper
But then I wanted to go deeper. I started looking into these “astrological alignments” between members of the same group. There’s this whole thing about how certain signs are more compatible than others. For example, I was trying to figure out the dynamic within BTS, because, you know, they’re huge. And there are so many ships, many videos, and so many edits in BTS. I dived into it. I spent days reading about their signs, trying to understand how their personalities mesh together.
I also stumbled upon this slang term, “bias,” which basically means your favorite member in a group. I already knew the word, but I didn’t realize it was such a big thing in the K-pop world. I started asking people on forums who their biases were in different groups, like Stray Kids and Le Sserafim. It was interesting to see how people’s biases lined up with the members’ zodiac signs.
It has been a long journey of this astrology thing, especially since I have dived into the K-pop world. I’m still working on it, honestly. It’s a lot of information to process, and I’m constantly learning new things. Like, I might look into the Chinese zodiac signs of these idols next, just to add another layer to it.
Anyway, that’s where I’m at with my K-pop astrology project. It’s been a fun and kind of educational experience, and it’s definitely made me appreciate K-pop on a whole new level. I started this project out of boredom, and now I have these huge files of information. It’s been a journey.
