Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another experiment. Today, we’re diving into something a bit mystical – using tarot cards to tell the time. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Can those cards really predict the future?” Well, from what I’ve read, there’s no solid science to back that up. But hey, they say tarot can be good for a bit of self-reflection and making choices, so why not put a little twist on it and see if they can help us figure out the time?
First off, I made sure I was in the right headspace. They say not to mess with the cards if you’re angry, upset, or, you know, drunk. So, I chilled out, got myself calm and centered. I grabbed my deck and started with a simple question in mind: “What time will a specific event happen tomorrow?”
I shuffled the deck, focusing on my question, and then laid out a few cards. Now, I’ve been reading up, and apparently, each suit in the Minor Arcana can represent different time frames. Cups are supposed to be days, Pentacles are more like years, Swords are weeks, and Wands are hours. So, I looked at the suits of the cards I pulled. There were a lot of Wands, which got me thinking hours, but then there were a couple of Cups, which could mean days. Confusing, right?
Using Major Arcana
Then, I moved on to the Major Arcana. Each of these cards has its own vibe and meaning. For example, The Sun is often seen as a positive, energetic card, while The Moon is more about intuition and the subconscious. I figured maybe these cards could give me a broader sense of the timing. Like, is it a morning thing? An evening thing? I pulled The Chariot, which is all about movement and direction, and I thought, “Okay, maybe this is a mid-day event.”
- Cups: Days
- Pentacles: Years
- Swords: Weeks
- Wands: Hours
I spent a good chunk of time just staring at the cards, trying to piece it all together. I jotted down some notes, trying to make sense of the suits, the Major Arcana, and how they might relate to my question. It was a bit like solving a puzzle, but with way more intuition involved. One thing I realized pretty quickly is that this isn’t an exact science. It’s not like looking at a clock and seeing “2:30 PM.” It’s more about getting a feel for the timing, a general sense of when something might happen.
I did a few more spreads, asking about different events and time frames. Some readings felt clearer than others. There were moments where I felt like I was really connecting with the cards, and other times where I was just drawing blanks. But that’s part of the process, I guess. It’s all about practice and getting more comfortable with the cards and your own intuition.
At the end of the day, I can’t say for sure if my tarot time-telling experiment was a total success. But it was definitely an interesting experience. It got me thinking about time in a whole new way and helped me tap into my intuition a bit more. And who knows, maybe with more practice, I’ll get better at this. Or maybe I’ll just stick to my watch. Either way, it was a fun ride, and I’m glad I gave it a shot. Catch you guys in the next one!
