Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get into tarot cards for a while, and I finally took the plunge! I decided to go with a Goddess-themed deck because, well, who doesn’t love a good goddess vibe? I found this really pretty deck online, and let me tell you, the unboxing was an experience.

First, I cleared a space on my desk. It’s usually a chaotic mess, but I wanted a clean, calm area for my new cards. I even lit a little candle – lavender, my favorite – to set the mood. Gotta have good energy, right?
Getting to Know the Cards
Then, I opened the box, and wow. The artwork on these cards is stunning. Each card features a different goddess, and they’re all so vibrant and detailed. I spent a good hour just looking at each card, reading the little booklet that came with it to learn about each goddess and the card’s meaning.
- Major Arcana: These are the big-deal cards, like The Empress (representing a powerful, nurturing goddess) and The High Priestess (all about intuition and hidden knowledge).
- Minor Arcana: These are divided into four suits, just like regular playing cards, but instead of hearts and spades, it’s cups, swords, wands, and pentacles. Each suit represents a different aspect of life, like emotions (cups) or challenges (swords).
My First Reading (Sort Of!)
I wasn’t quite ready to do a full-blown reading for myself, so I decided to just pull one card for a daily message. I shuffled the deck, really focusing on my intention to connect with the cards and get some guidance. Then, I fanned them out and let my intuition guide me to one.
I drew The Sun card, which features a radiant goddess, full of joy and vitality. The booklet said it represents positivity, success, and good fortune. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed to hear! It felt like a little wink from the universe, telling me to embrace the day and focus on the good stuff.

I’m still very much a beginner, but I’m excited to keep learning and practicing. This first experience with my Goddess deck was super encouraging, and I’m looking forward to exploring the cards more deeply and seeing what wisdom they have to offer. It’s felt like a fun, new way to tap into my intuition and add a little magic to my day.
