Alright, so the other day, I decided to get serious about learning tarot card meanings. You know, to really master them. I’ve always been into tarot, but it was more of a casual thing. But now, I wanted to dive deep and get a solid understanding.
First off, I started by looking up some general info about tarot. I mean, you gotta start somewhere, right? I went through a bunch of websites and blogs, trying to get a feel for the basics. There’s a ton of stuff out there, but I was mostly interested in understanding the Major and Minor Arcana. Those are the two main parts of the deck, and they seemed like a good starting point.
After getting a grip on the basics, I decided to tackle each card individually. I picked up my tarot deck and started with the first card, The Fool. I read about its meaning, both upright and reversed, and tried to connect it to my own life. It was all about new beginnings and taking risks, which I could relate to.
- Major Arcana: These cards are the big shots, representing major life themes and lessons.
- Minor Arcana: These are more about day-to-day stuff, split into four suits like a regular deck of cards.
Then, I moved on to the next card, The Magician, and did the same thing. I went through each card, one by one, making notes and trying to memorize their meanings. It was a lot to take in, but I kept at it. I’d spend hours each day just studying and practicing.
One thing I found helpful was doing practice readings. I’d shuffle the deck, lay out some cards, and try to interpret them based on what I’d learned. At first, it was tough. I kept having to look up the meanings, but slowly, it started to click. I started to see patterns and connections between the cards.
I also tried to use my intuition more. Sure, the card meanings are important, but tarot is also about tapping into your gut feelings. So, I’d look at a card and just see what came to mind, what feelings or thoughts it sparked in me. It was kind of like a meditation, in a way.
My First Tarot
Then I found a card named The Master. I’ve never seen it before, I guess it’s not in other decks. For me, this card is all about recognizing the master within us, we are the leader and creator of our own lives. That really speaks to me, you know? And I learned that The Justice is about balance, fairness and truth, that’s what I need to learn.
After a few weeks of this, I started to feel like I was really getting it. I could look at a card and instantly know its meaning, and I could do readings without having to constantly check my notes. It felt amazing, like I’d finally cracked the code.
Now, I’m not saying I’m a tarot expert or anything, but I definitely feel like I’ve mastered the basics. I can do readings for myself and my friends, and it’s actually pretty accurate. It’s like a whole new world has opened up to me, and I’m excited to keep exploring it.
So, yeah, that’s my journey to mastering tarot card meanings. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. I feel more connected to myself and the universe, and I have a new tool to help me navigate life’s ups and downs. If you’re thinking about learning tarot, I say go for it. It’s a wild ride, but a rewarding one.
