Okay, so I’ve been diving into this whole psychology thing, and I found this “Crash Course Psychology #1 Worksheet” that everyone’s talking about. I figured, why not give it a shot? I mean, I’m always up for learning something new, especially if it helps me understand myself and other people better.
So, the first thing I did was actually find the worksheet. I just searched it up, you know, good old internet search. There were a bunch of options but after clicking around some of them, I found one. I printed it out, ’cause I like having a physical copy to write on.
Then, I started going through the questions. Some of them were pretty straightforward, like defining basic terms and stuff. I used Quizlet to create some flashcards to help me remember. I also found some other flashcard sets already made by people, which was pretty cool and saved me some time.
- Used Quizlet to study and created a flashcard set.
- Used flashcard sets made by other users.
There were a few questions that made me think a little harder, though. Like, they asked about different psychological perspectives and how they explain behavior. I had to go back and reread some of my notes to make sure I was getting it right. I wanted to be thorough.
I also found this one part in the worksheet that asked about a specific psychological disorder. They gave us an acronym to help us remember, which was nice. I’m not going to lie; I had to look that one up, too. I found some resources that were pretty detailed, and they helped me understand what the disorder was all about. I made sure to write detailed responses and follow the instructions on the assignment rubric.
- Carefully read and reviewed the assignment rubric.
- Wrote down detailed responses.
Honestly, the whole process took me a couple of hours. But I actually learned a lot. I found this talk about making bad decisions that was pretty funny and interesting.
- Watched a talk about making poor decisions.
And I think I have a better grasp on some of the basic concepts of psychology now. Plus, it was kind of fun to test myself and see what I could remember. I feel a bit more prepared for the course, and this is only the first part.
I wanted to write down my entire process of finishing the worksheet, and here it is. This is what I’ve done. Pretty interesting stuff, right?
