Okay, so, I got into this whole tarot card thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip. I decided to give it a shot, you know, just for kicks.
First off, I had to actually get some cards. I did some digging around and found this deck called the “POT Tarot”. They are colorful as heck, and got these crazy, cool pictures on them.
I started messing with the cards, just looking at them, trying to figure out what’s what. The booklet that came with them was super helpful, it’s not just about telling the future, it is more about thinking about yourself and understanding what is going on inside, pretty cool right? It breaks down the meaning of each card, which was a lifesaver ’cause otherwise, I’d be totally lost. I’m still a newbie at this, but it’s been fun learning.
The booklet said something like, “Keep It Simple.” Made sense to me. No need to overcomplicate things when you’re just starting out.
So, I started pulling out a card each day, just one. Read about it, think about it, and see if it vibed with what was going on in my life. Surprisingly, a lot of times, it did. It’s like the cards were giving me a little nudge in the right direction, or at least making me think about things in a different way.
- First, I just trust my gut feeling about the cards.
- Then, I remind myself to be patient. This stuff takes time.
- And also embracing the experience, good or bad, just go with the flow.
- Oh, and practice. Like, a lot. I keep shuffling those cards and doing readings for myself and my friends.
The POT Tarot Guidebook was a big help in getting started. I even tried different ways of laying out the cards, they call them “spreads.” Some are simple, some are more complex. But it’s all about what feels right to you, I guess.
It is not perfect
It’s not all smooth sailing, though. Sometimes the cards don’t make much sense. Or I’ll get different readings on the same question, which can be confusing. But I’m learning not to take it too seriously. It’s more about the journey, you know? Exploring and seeing where it takes you.
Anyway, that’s my tarot adventure so far. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m excited to see where it goes next. Maybe I’ll even get good at this one day, who knows? But for now, I’m just enjoying the process and having fun with it.
