Okay, so today, January 11th, 2024, I tried out this “New Moon in Capricorn Tarot Spread” thing. I’ve been feeling a bit all over the place lately, and I thought, why not? Maybe this will help me get some clarity.
I started by setting up a quiet space. I lit a candle, put on some chill music, and got my tarot deck. This new moon in Capricorn is supposed to be all about new beginnings and setting intentions, especially for things like career, success, and organization. Sounds good to me, right? I definitely need some of that in my life.
I followed this guide I found that talked about using the new moon’s energy to manifest your goals. It said to revisit intentions from the start of January and then update them. I guess that makes sense. I had a few resolutions, but let’s be real, I haven’t exactly been crushing them.
The Questions
I shuffled my cards and asked some questions based on what I read online. It felt a little weird talking to cards, but I went with it.
- First, I asked, “What are my strengths?” I wanted to get a sense of what I’m working with here.
- Then, I asked, “How can my strengths help me overcome any challenges?” Because, you know, life’s not always easy.
- Next up, “How can I ground myself?” I’ve been feeling pretty scattered, so grounding seemed important.
- And finally, “What truths do I need to accept?” This one felt a bit deep, but I was curious.
I pulled a card for each question and laid them out in front of me. I’m not going to lie, some of the cards were a little confusing. I tried to interpret them based on the guidebook that came with the deck and some stuff I looked up online. It was a bit of a learning curve, but I think I got the general idea.
After that, I spent some time just sitting with the cards and reflecting on what they might mean for me. I closed my eyes and tried to visualize what I want to achieve this year. The guide I read said to really feel the emotions you’d feel when your intentions manifest. So, I tried to imagine myself succeeding at work, feeling more organized, and just generally being more in control of my life. It felt pretty good, actually.
I wrote down my intentions in my journal, along with some notes about the cards I pulled. I’m planning to keep an eye on these intentions throughout the month and see how things unfold. They said to do it daily, so I will.
Honestly, the whole experience was more interesting than I expected. It wasn’t some magical fix, but it did help me to slow down and think about what I really want. Plus, it was kind of fun to play around with the tarot cards. Who knows, maybe I’ll make this a regular new moon ritual. We’ll see how it goes!
