Okay, so the other day I got this idea to do a little tarot reading, inspired by the new moon. I’ve always felt like the new moon is a time for fresh starts, you know? So I thought, why not use tarot to kind of guide my intentions for this new cycle?
First, I got my space all set up. I lit some candles, played some chill music, the whole nine yards. I wanted to create a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Then, I took out my tarot deck. I’ve had this deck for years, and it always feels good to hold it in my hands. I sat down, closed my eyes for a minute, and took a few deep breaths to get centered. I thought about what I wanted to focus on during this new moon phase, like what I wanted to bring into my life and what I wanted to let go of.
With my intentions in mind, I started shuffling the cards. I’m not gonna lie, shuffling tarot cards is kind of an art. You gotta do it with focus. After shuffling for a while, I felt like it was time to stop. I cut the deck into three piles and then put them back together into one.
I decided to do a simple three-card spread. The first card was to represent the present moment, the second was for the challenges I might face, and the third was for the potential outcome or what I should focus on. I laid out the cards one by one.
My Cards
- Present: The Fool.
- Challenges: The Moon (reversed).
- Outcome: Death.
Now, I’m no expert, but I know a bit about tarot. Seeing The Fool for the present made sense. It’s all about new beginnings and taking that leap of faith, which is exactly what I was feeling. It’s like the universe was saying, “Yeah, you’re on the right track!” I am going to be lighthearted and enjoy the magic of life.
The Moon reversed for challenges, that was interesting. It can mean hidden things coming to light or struggling with intuition. Maybe I need to pay extra attention to my gut feelings and not ignore any red flags that might pop up. It is okay to be open to the signs and believe in myself.
And then, Death for the outcome. Don’t freak out, it’s not as scary as it sounds! Death in tarot often symbolizes transformation and rebirth. So, it looks like this new moon cycle is gonna bring some major changes, but they’re gonna be for the better. This is like an end of something that does not serve me and the birth of a new beginning.
After laying out the cards, I just sat there for a while, looking at them and thinking about what they could mean for me. I wrote down my thoughts and feelings in my journal, which is something I always like to do after a reading.
Overall, it was a really cool experience. It felt good to connect with my intuition and set some intentions for the new moon. I feel like this reading gave me some clarity and direction for the weeks ahead. I’m excited to see how things unfold and embrace the transformations that are coming my way. Also, I feel like I should change a bit of my attitude towards life. I am planning on trying new things like clothes and styles.
