Alright, guys, gather around! Today, I’m gonna walk you through my little adventure with this “New Year Tarot Spread” thing I tried out. Don’t get too excited, it’s not like I found the secret to the universe or anything, but it was a pretty interesting experience, and I figure, why not share it with ya’ll, right?
So, first things first, I got my hands on a deck of Tarot cards. Honestly, I just picked up the first one I saw online. It had these cool, kinda mystical-looking designs on them, which I thought was pretty neat. I cleared out a spot on my table – made sure it was nice and tidy, you know, set the mood and all that.
Then, I lit a candle – just a regular one, nothing fancy. And I put on some chill music in the background. I don’t know if this really matters, but it helped me focus, I guess. Now, for the actual spread. I looked up this “New Year” spread online, and it seemed simple enough. Basically, you shuffle the cards while thinking about the new year and what you want to know. Easy peasy.
Next, I laid out the cards in the specific pattern the guide showed me. It was like, one card for each month, and then some extra cards for overall themes and challenges for the year. It felt a bit like setting up a board game, to be honest. Once the cards were down, I started flipping them over, one by one.
- January’s card was, I think it was called “The Magician”. The guide said it’s about using your resources. I was like, “Alright, I can do that.”
- February’s card was “The Lovers”, which the guide said it’s about a decision between love and career. I was like, “Alright, I can do that.”
- Then for the next couple of months, I got cards like “Strength” and “The Hermit”. One’s about being brave, the other’s about taking time for yourself.
And so on for each month. Some cards I kinda got, others were a bit, uh, confusing? Like, “The Tower” showed up for, I think, June. It sounds scary, and from what I read, it kinda is – big changes, maybe some chaos. I’m not gonna lie, that one made me a bit nervous.
After going through all the months, I looked at the cards meant for the overall year. There was “The Wheel of Fortune,” which, from what I gather, is about cycles and change – makes sense for a new year, right? And then “Justice,” which seems to be about fairness and decisions.
Once I was done, I took a picture of the spread. I thought it would be cool to look back on throughout the year. I also jotted down some notes about what each card might mean, based on the guide and, well, my gut feeling.
So, did this whole Tarot thing give me a roadmap for the year? Not exactly. But did it make me think about what I want from the new year? Definitely. It’s like, the cards didn’t tell me what’s gonna happen, but they gave me some stuff to chew on, you know?
I guess it’s all about how you look at it. It’s not like these cards are magic or anything. But they’re a way to get you thinking, reflecting. And sometimes, that’s all you need to start the year right. So yeah, that was my little Tarot experiment. Maybe I’ll do it again next year, see if “The Tower” still shows up. Who knows? It was fun, a bit weird, but definitely something different. And hey, if any of you guys try it out, let me know how it goes, yeah?
