So, I wanted to get into this whole oracle tarot thing, right? It’s like, everyone’s talking about it, and I’m always up for trying something new. I mean, who doesn’t want a little peek into the future or some guidance on what’s going on in their life?
First, I went and got myself a deck of oracle cards. Not tarot, mind you, oracle cards. They’re a bit different, from what I gather. There are all sorts of designs and themes, which is pretty cool. You can really find one that speaks to you. No rules on how many cards there are in each deck. I was so excited to pick up and select them.
Once I had my deck, I started simple. Every morning, I pulled one card, you know, just to see what the vibe of the day was going to be. Some people call this the “Daily One-Card Draw” and it is helpful for beginners. It’s a good way to get familiar with the cards and their meanings, without feeling overwhelmed.
After a while, I got a bit braver and tried the three-card spread. This one’s a bit more in-depth. You lay out three cards, and they represent the past, the present, and the future. Or sometimes people use them to explore different aspects of a question they have. And of course, I drew a “past” and “present”. The feeling was so great.
It was a little tricky at first, trying to figure out what the cards were trying to tell me. But I kept at it, and I even started writing down my readings in a journal. That helped a lot, actually. I could look back and see patterns, or see how things played out in real life compared to what the cards suggested.
I’m still pretty new to all this, but I’m really enjoying it. It’s like having a little conversation with the universe or something. And it’s kind of fun to see if the cards are on to something or if it’s all just a bunch of hocus pocus. Either way, it’s a nice little ritual to have in my day, and it definitely makes you think!
- Find a deck you like.
- Start with simple pulls.
- Write down your readings.
- Don’t be afraid to experiment.
- Don’t follow a standard structure.
Here are a few things I learned so far:
Maybe I’ll keep posting about my oracle card adventures. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get good at this stuff! You never know, right?
