I grabbed the Ostara Tarot deck today, you know, the one I saw online that seemed to have a big sale going on. I’d been eyeing it for a while because the artwork is just gorgeous, all plants and animals and stuff. So, I finally decided to give it a try.
First thing I did was shuffle the deck. I’m not gonna lie, it took a little while to get used to the card size. They’re a bit bigger than what I usually use, but hey, more space for the pretty pictures, right? As I shuffled, I just kind of focused on what I wanted to get out of the reading. You know, just a general vibe check for the week ahead.
Then, I laid out the cards in a simple three-card spread. Past, present, future. It’s my go-to when I don’t have any specific questions, but just want some general guidance. I flipped over the first card, representing the past, and it was the Ace of Wands. I remember thinking, “Okay, new beginnings, fresh energy,” it totally resonated with some stuff that’s been going on with my job lately.
The second card, the present, was the Five of Pentacles. Hmm, a bit of a struggle there, feeling a little left out in the cold, perhaps. I interpreted it as maybe I was experiencing a bit of insecurity at the moment about my future path.
And finally, the future card, The Star. Hope, inspiration, feeling optimistic. I love seeing that card! It made me feel like even though things might be a little shaky right now, there’s good stuff coming my way. I took that as a sign to keep trusting my gut and moving forward with my plans.
After the reading, I spent some time just looking at the cards, studying the details in the artwork. There’s so much symbolism packed into each one. Like, the rabbit on the Ace of Wands, or the little bird on The Star card. I really feel like there is a lot more that I can learn from this deck and these cards, I’m excited to use it again.
I also jotted down some notes in my journal about the reading. What cards came up, my initial thoughts, and how they connected to what’s happening in my life. It’s always interesting to go back and read those later, to see how things played out. Sometimes I’m surprised by how accurate the cards can be, even when I’m just doing a simple reading like this one.
Overall, I’m really happy I got this Ostara Tarot deck. The artwork is beautiful, and I think it’s going to be a great tool for self-reflection and getting a little extra insight into my life. I mean, who couldn’t use a little extra guidance now and then, right?
