Okay, so I’ve been getting into tarot cards lately, you know, the whole “postaw tarota” thing. I figured, why not give it a shot, especially since I’ve been feeling a bit lost in my relationship. It’s not like we’re on the rocks or anything, but I just wanted to see if the cards could offer any, like, clarity or something.
So, first, I got myself a deck. Nothing fancy, just a standard Rider-Waite deck I picked up from a local bookstore. Then I spent a few days just, like, getting to know the cards. I flipped through them, looked at the pictures, and read the little booklet that came with it. I even watched some YouTube videos on how to do basic spreads.
Then, the big day came. I cleared a space on my kitchen table, lit a candle (because, ambiance, right?), and laid out the cards. I decided to do a simple three-card spread for my relationship: past, present, and future. I shuffled the deck, really focusing on my intention, you know, like really thinking hard about my relationship and what I wanted to learn.
- Past: The card I pulled was The Lovers, which I guess makes sense. It represents choices and harmony, and we definitely had a strong connection when we first met.
- Present: This one was the Two of Cups, which is all about partnerships and mutual respect. Okay, I can dig that. We do have a pretty good thing going on right now.
- Future: And for the future, I got the Ten of Cups, which, like, screams happy family vibes. It’s about fulfillment and emotional contentment. Honestly, that made me smile.
The result
I’m not saying the tarot cards magically solved all my relationship questions, but they did give me some stuff to think about. It was like a little nudge to appreciate what we have and to keep working on communication. Like maybe have a data night or talk about our feeling * was a fun experience, and I’ll probably do it again sometime. Maybe I’ll try a more complicated spread next time, like that “New Relationship” one I saw online. We’ll see.
Overall it was a good way to spend my day. Tarot cards might not be for everyone, but they did work for me in some way.
