Okay, so here’s my experience with doing a protection prayer before a tarot reading.
First off, I got myself comfy and took a few deep breaths to chill out. You know, just getting in the zone. I lit a candle—nothing fancy, just something to set the mood. Then, I closed my eyes and started visualizing a bright, white light all around me. Like I was in my own little bubble of safety.
My Prayer
With that image in my head, I said a little prayer. Something like, “Hey universe, I’m about to do a tarot reading here. Please give me some guidance and keep me safe from any weird vibes. I only want to let in the good stuff, the helpful stuff.” It was more of a heartfelt request than some formal thing.
- I asked for clarity, you know? Like, “Help me see what the cards are really trying to tell me.”
- And I asked for protection, too. “Keep out anything that’s not for my highest good.” That kind of thing.
I also made sure to say “thank you” at the end. Gratitude, right? It is important to appreciate the help I get.
The Reading
After the prayer, I felt way more relaxed and ready. I shuffled the cards while still holding onto that feeling of being protected. It actually made a difference in how I interpreted the cards. I felt more connected, more in tune with what they were saying.
Wrapping Up
When the reading was over, I said another quick “thank you” to the universe, or whatever’s out there. I pictured that protective light fading away, but still feeling safe and sound.
Honestly, the whole protection prayer thing added a nice touch to the reading. It felt more meaningful, more intentional. I am definitely going to keep doing it before my tarot sessions. It just makes the whole experience better, in my opinion.
