Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole “rey de bastos tarot” thing lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a trip. I started out knowing absolutely nothing about tarot, just that it looked kinda cool with all the fancy pictures and stuff.
First, I got myself a deck. I found this one online, the “Tarot de Los Arcanos” it’s called, with images that just seemed to scream at me. They’re full of symbols, which supposedly help you to read the cards better. I’m not sure about that, but they sure are pretty to look at.
Then I started trying to learn what the heck each card meant. I mostly focused on this one card, the “Rey de Bastos,” which is like, the King of Wands in English. Apparently, this dude is all about power and leadership. Some websites said he’s a “mature man” who’s “strong, energetic, and optimistic.” Sounds like a good guy to have on your side, right?
I spent a lot of time just staring at the card. The one in the Marseille Tarot shows this king dude sitting on his throne, looking all regal. I tried to imagine what it would be like to be that powerful, to be a natural-born leader like this guy is supposed to be. I even looked up which zodiac signs he’s matched with. They said it could be a fire sign like Aries.
I also did some digging online, looking for anything that could give me more insight. I found some random forum posts about hormones that are released during stress, not sure how that connects, but I guess stress is a part of life. I even read a few things about addiction and stuff, which was kind of a downer. But hey, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, right?
- Pulled the card every day for a week.
- Jotted down whatever thoughts or feelings came up.
- Tried to see if anything in my day matched up with the card’s supposed meaning.
Honestly, I don’t know if I’m any closer to understanding this whole tarot thing. But it’s been an interesting experiment, anyway. It got me thinking about things like power, leadership, and my own place in the world. Maybe there’s something to this stuff after all. I am still doing more research and trying to figure things out.
