Okay, so today I wanna talk about something I’ve been messing around with lately – the sevens in Tarot. I always get that weird feeling about seven. You know, some people say it’s a lucky number, but I think it’s a little more complex than that. So, I started digging into the sevens in the Tarot deck, and boy, was it a trip!
I started by pulling out my old Rider-Waite deck – you know, the classic one with the kinda mystical-looking pictures? I laid out all the sevens: the Seven of Cups, Seven of Wands, Seven of Swords, and Seven of Pentacles. Just looking at them all together, you start to see some patterns, you know?
The Seven of Cups
First up, the Seven of Cups. This one’s all about choices, dreams, and sometimes, straight-up illusions. The card has this person staring at seven cups, each with some crazy stuff in it. It’s like, are these real opportunities, or just a bunch of wishful thinking? When I started journaling about this one, I realized it’s kinda like when you’re scrolling through social media. You see all these different paths, different lives, but are they really attainable, or are you just getting lost in the fantasy? I was just thinking and journaling, and it made me question a lot of my own daydreams.
The Seven of Wands
Then there’s the Seven of Wands. This card screams “stand your ground!” It’s got this figure fighting off six wands with one of their own. It’s all about defending your position, facing challenges, and having the courage to keep going even when things get tough. I meditated on this one a bit, visualizing myself in that situation. It’s not easy, but it’s empowering. It made me think about all the times I’ve had to fight for what I believe in, even when I was outnumbered. I wrote down some examples from my life. For example, my mother doesn’t want me to do this but I still insist on it.
The Seven of Swords
The Seven of Swords is a tricky one. It shows a person sneaking away with five swords, leaving two behind. There’s a sense of deception, strategy, and maybe even running away from responsibility. I spent a good chunk of time reflecting on this one, asking myself, “Where in my life am I taking shortcuts, or avoiding the hard truth?” It was a bit uncomfortable, honestly. I even had a dream about it, where I was trying to outsmart someone but ended up getting caught. Woke up in a sweat, I tell ya! There are some experiences that I really don’t want to recall.
The Seven of Pentacles
Finally, the Seven of Pentacles. This one’s about patience, investment, and waiting to see the results of your hard work. The card shows a person looking at a bush with seven pentacles on it, kinda like they’re waiting for their crops to grow. It made me think about long-term goals and how important it is to trust the process, even when you don’t see immediate results. I did a little visualization exercise, imagining myself planting seeds and nurturing them over time. It was pretty calming, actually. I need to wait and don’t be so anxious.
So yeah, that’s been my journey with the sevens in Tarot lately. It’s been a real eye-opener, helping me understand myself and the world around me a little better. I’ve been journaling, meditating, doing visualization exercises…the whole nine yards. It’s not just about predicting the future or anything like that. For me, it’s about self-reflection and personal growth. It feels like I’ve unlocked a new level of understanding, you know? And I’m excited to see where this path takes me next. Maybe I’ll explore the eights next week!
