Alright, so you wanna know about this AP Psychology FRQ thing from 2017, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t rocket science, even though them city folks like to make it sound all fancy. It’s just about how people think and feel, plain and simple.
Now, from what I hear, them kids had a tough time with that Unit 7 stuff. Motivation, Emotion, and Personality, they called it. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? Basically, it’s why you do what you do, how you feel about it, and what kind of person you are. Only 3% of them young’uns really got it, which ain’t a whole lot, if you ask me.
The test itself, well, it’s a paper thing, not one of them computer things. You gotta write stuff down, you know, in sentences and paragraphs. No A, B, C stuff, just plain writin’. And you gotta make sure you answer everything they ask, and in the right order if you can. They want you to show them you know your stuff, from one point to the next.
So, how do you get ready for this here test? Well, you gotta study, that’s for sure. I heard tell of somethin’ called Quizlet. Sounds like a fancy word for flashcards to me. You gotta learn all them words, like “drive-reduction theory” and “external cues”. Don’t ask me what they mean, but them city folks seem to think they’re important. And somethin’ about “resistance phase of general adaptation syndrome” and “implicit memory”. Sounds like a whole lotta mumbo jumbo to me, but you gotta know it to pass that test.
- Drive-reduction theory: Whatever that is, you need to know it.
- External cues: Things outside of you that make you do stuff.
- Resistance phase of general adaptation syndrome (SAS): How your body deals with stress, I guess.
- Implicit memory: Remembering stuff without even trying.
Now, some of them questions are tricky. Like, they might ask you about physiological needs and psychological drives. Sounds complicated, but it ain’t. Like, if your belly’s rumblin’, you get hungry, and then you eat. See? Simple as pie. They wanna know if you understand how your body and your mind work together.
I also heard about some kid who was havin’ trouble with English and German grammar. Now, I don’t know nothin’ about German, but I reckon it’s like English, just with different words. And this kid, he got tripped up on somethin’ called syntax. Fancy word for how you put words together, I guess.
And if you need help, there’s places you can go. I hear tell of a place where them psychology students can talk about how to study and get help with their homework. They even give advice on how to find a job, which is mighty important, let me tell ya. And they got them AP Psychology FRQs sets, whatever that means.
So, if you gotta take this AP Psychology test, don’t you fret. Just study them flashcards, learn them fancy words, and remember to write in plain English. And don’t let them city folks fool ya, it ain’t that hard. Just common sense, if you ask me.
And make sure you’re lookin’ at the right test paper. It should say “AP Psychology” right on the front. If it says somethin’ else, you better raise your hand and tell someone, ’cause you got the wrong paper!
Studyin’ hard is important, like learnin’ all about the exam from 2016-2017, you know? Learn them words and stuff. It’ll help ya do good.
One more thing. Sometimes them questions ask you to explain things real clear. Like, if you’re hungry, it’s ’cause your body needs food, and that makes you wanna eat. They wanna see if you can connect the dots, you know? So make sure you give ’em the whole picture, not just bits and pieces.
So, that’s the long and short of it. Just study hard, use them flashcards, and don’t let them fancy words scare ya. You got this!
