Alright, so I got into this tarot thing recently, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I started off just browsing through some online stuff, you know, just to get a feel for it. There are tons of online courses out there, and honestly, it’s kinda overwhelming.
I spent a few days just clicking around, trying to figure out what’s what. They’ve got courses on all sorts of things, like software stuff, business, even design. And get this, they say they’ve got over a million visitors a month! That’s a lot of people digging into this stuff.
Then, I stumbled upon some actual tarot decks. There are so many different kinds, it’s crazy! I saw one called “The Priestess of the Light Oracle,” which sounds pretty mystical, right? And then there’s another one called the “Smith-Waite Tarot Deck,” which I guess is a classic. There’s even a “Crowley Thoth” deck, which is like a smaller version. That’s my favorite, really good-looking.
Choosing a Deck and Diving In
After looking at a bunch of them, I finally settled on one that just felt right. It’s a newer one called the “Curious Travels Tarot Deck.” It was the pictures, I think. They just drew me in.
Once I had my deck, I started digging into the meanings of the cards. I found this book, 192 pages, full color, and it breaks down everything. I learned about major arcana, minor arcana, all that jazz. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all, but it’s pretty interesting.
I’ve been practicing by doing readings for myself. Sometimes it makes sense, sometimes it doesn’t. I did one reading about my career, and it was kinda spot on. It talked about new opportunities and using my skills. Then I did another one about my love life, and it was, well, let’s just say it was confusing.
The thing is, I’m starting to see how this tarot thing can be more than just a card game. It’s like a way to reflect on your life, you know? The cards can bring up stuff you haven’t thought about, or maybe stuff you’ve been avoiding. At least, that’s what it feels like for me.
Still Learning and Exploring
I’m still new to all this, so I’m taking it slow. I’m trying to learn the meanings of the cards, but I’m also trying to trust my intuition. It’s like, the cards are a tool, but you gotta use your own gut feeling too.
There are a lot of folks who are into this whole spiritual, New Age vibe, and I guess tarot fits right in with that. I’m not sure I’m fully there yet, but I’m open to it. It’s definitely a journey, and I’m curious to see where it takes me.
So yeah, that’s my tarot experience so far. It’s been a mix of learning, exploring, and trying to figure out what it all means. I’m not sure where I’ll end up with it, but for now, I’m enjoying the ride.
- Bought a deck that felt right.
- Started learning the meanings from a book.
- Practicing readings for myself.
- Seeing tarot as a tool for reflection.
- Still learning and exploring, trusting my intuition.
It is a long journey, I’m enjoying it. I will keep updating my tarot journey if possible. This is for this time.
