Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something a bit different – Egyptian tarot cards. I’ve dabbled with regular tarot before, but this felt like a whole new ball game. I got this deck a while back, and honestly, the pictures on them just looked so cool, all ancient Egypt and stuff. Figured it was time to actually try them out.

First off, I opened the box and flipped through the cards. They have these pictures of, like, old Egyptian gods and symbols, not your usual tarot stuff. The deck is called “significadovehemencia 64 tarot egipcio”, but I don’t know what it means. I found some info online, and it was saying something about how these cards are way old and have special meanings from back in the day when pyramids were all the rage. There are a total of 64 cards. I picked one card that says 64 at first.
Then, I tried to do this reading I found called “The Path of the Pyramids.” Sounds epic, right? The idea is to pretend you’re going back in time to ancient Egypt. I closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths, and tried to imagine sand dunes and pyramids. No joke, it was kinda hard with the neighbor’s dog barking, but I managed.
- I shuffled the cards real good while thinking about a question I had. Just a simple “What’s up with my day today?” kind of question.
- Then, as the instructions said, I laid out the cards in this pyramid shape. It felt kinda fancy.
- Next, I started flipping them over one by one, starting from the top of the pyramid.
Each card is supposed to tell you something different about your question. I grabbed my phone and looked up what each card meant on some tarot website I found. Most of it was kinda vague, like “expect a change” or “trust your gut.”
The Cafe Tarot
I also tried another method using coffee grounds, called “tarot cafe”. Poured the coffee ground into the cup, then started to read the meaning. But I didn’t get much from it.

Honestly, the whole Egyptian tarot thing was a bit confusing. Maybe I need more practice, or maybe it’s just not my thing. Still, it was a fun way to spend the afternoon, and those cards sure look pretty on my shelf. I might give it another go sometime, but for now, I think I’ll stick to my regular tarot deck. Or maybe just a good old cup of coffee, minus the fortune-telling.
