Alright, so I wanted to do something fun and a bit different today. I’ve been messing around with this idea of a tarot card meaning quiz. You know, those things where you answer a bunch of questions and it tells you what tarot card best represents you or your current situation? Yeah, I decided to try and make one of those myself. Sounds simple enough, right?
First things first, I needed to figure out the questions. I started by jotting down a bunch of personality traits and life situations that I thought could relate to different tarot cards. I mean, it’s not like I’m a tarot expert or anything, but I’ve read a few things here and there. I came up with stuff like, “Are you more of an introvert or an extrovert?” and “Do you tend to make decisions based on logic or intuition?”. Stuff like that. It was actually kind of fun to think about how different personality types might match up with the meanings of the cards.
After I had a decent list of questions, I needed to figure out how to match the answers to the cards. I decided to assign points to each answer. For example, if someone said they were an introvert, they’d get a point for, say, The Hermit card. If they said they were more emotional, they’d get a point for maybe The Empress or The Lovers. I spent a good chunk of time just playing around with these point assignments, trying to balance things out so that one card wouldn’t always win.
- Brainstormed questions based on personality traits.
- Assigned points to answers based on card meanings.
- Tested and adjusted point values for balance.
Once I felt like the questions and point system were মোটামুটি solid, I started putting it all together. I just used a simple Google Form for this because I’m not trying to build a whole website or anything. It was pretty straightforward to set up the questions and answer choices. But let me tell you, typing out all those card meanings and interpretations was a bit of a chore. I probably should have just copy-pasted from somewhere, but I wanted to put my own spin on it.
Testing and Tweaking
Then came the testing phase. I took the quiz myself a bunch of times, trying to answer differently each time to see what results I’d get. I also roped in a few friends to try it out and give me feedback. It was a little rough around the edges at first. Some of the questions were confusing, and the results weren’t always making sense. So I went back and tweaked the questions, adjusted the point values, and added some more detailed explanations for each card. It was a lot of trial and error, to be honest. But eventually, I got it to a place where I was pretty happy with it.
After working on it off and on for a few days, I finally had something that I thought was pretty decent. It’s not perfect, of course, but it’s a fun little quiz that gives you a tarot card reading based on your answers. It was a cool experience to see an idea actually become a thing.
So, yeah, that’s my little tarot card meaning quiz project. It was a fun way to explore a bit of the tarot world and do something creative.
