Okay, so today I decided to dive into something called “tarot de preguntas,” which basically means “question tarot” in Spanish. I’ve dabbled with tarot before, just simple readings, but I wanted to try a more focused approach.
First, I grabbed my trusty Rider-Waite deck. It’s the one I’m most familiar with, and the imagery just speaks to me. I shuffled the cards, really taking my time to connect with them and think about the specific question I had in mind. It wasn’t anything too heavy, just a general inquiry about my creative projects for the next few weeks.
My Question and Spread
I decided on using a simple three-card spread, since, you know, I’m still kind of a newbie at this. Each card was meant to answer the question:
- Card 1: What energy is present at the moment that needs answering.
- Card 2: The challenges that block me.
- Card 3:The advice or steps to take.
I laid out the cards face down, then flipped them one by one.
The Reading Unveiled
- Card 1 (Present Energy): I got The Magician. This card, at least to me, is all about resourcefulness and manifestation, like having all the tools you need at your disposal. So, a pretty positive start!
- Card 2 (Challenges): This one was the Five of Pentacles. Reversed, it means that it signifies that you’re going through a period of difficulties, loneliness, and financial hardship, and you’re feeling lost and disoriented.
- Card 3 (Advice): The final card I get is Knight of cups. This one, is about following your heart and emotions, not being afraid to make your dreams come true.
Putting It All Together
So, putting it all together, it felt like the cards were telling me that, although there is a moment of clarity of purpose, you still have challenges, such as lack of opportunity or fear of moving forward, it will always require a step of courage, and for this, it is important to always follow intuition.
Honestly, it was a pretty cool experience. I think next time I’ll try a more complex spread, maybe something with five or six cards, to go to detail to my question. But for a quick “tarot de preguntas” session, this was definitely enlightening!
