Okay, so I’ve been getting really into tarot lately. And, like, nature is my other big thing. So, naturally, I went on a hunt for tarot decks that combine the two! It took some doing, but it’s been a fun ride.
My Quest for the Perfect Nature Tarot Deck
First, I just started poking around online. I just did some basic searches. You know, “nature tarot decks,” “tarot decks for plant lovers,” that kind of thing. I got a bunch of hits, but it was kind of overwhelming.
I scrolled through tons of images, trying to get a feel for the artwork. I mean, that’s the biggest thing, right? You gotta vibe with the art.
I narrowed it down to a few that looked promising. Some were super botanical, with detailed drawings of plants and flowers. Others were more about animals, with each card featuring a different creature. And some were more landscape-focused, with scenes of forests, mountains, and rivers.
Digging Deeper into the Decks
Once I had a shortlist, I started reading reviews. I wanted to see what other people thought of the decks. Did they feel connected to the imagery? Did the cards shuffle well? Was the guidebook helpful?
- I checked out some unboxing videos. This was super helpful for getting a better sense of the card stock and the overall quality of the deck.
- I looked for decks that came with a decent guidebook. I’m still kind of a newbie, so I need all the help I can get interpreting the cards!
- I paid attention to the size of the cards. Some decks are HUGE, which can be hard to shuffle. Others are tiny, which can make it hard to see the details in the artwork.
Making My Choice(s)
After all that research, I finally settled on a couple of decks that I really loved.
It was a bit of a process, but totally worth it! I’m so excited to start using these decks and see how they help me connect with both tarot and the natural world.
