So, I was fiddling around with this whole tarot and magic thing again. You know, just trying to figure out what’s what. I got this deck of tarot cards a while back, and I’ve been messing with them on and off. It’s not like I’m trying to become some kind of fortune-teller or anything, but I do find it all pretty darn interesting.
First off, I grabbed my tarot deck. It’s a pretty standard one, nothing too fancy. I laid out the cards on my table and spent some time just looking at them. They’ve got all these pictures, right? People, symbols, the whole nine yards. Each card is supposed to mean something, but it’s not like they come with a dictionary, so you gotta look a lot of stuff up.
Then, I did a basic three-card spread. I’m still pretty new to this, so I didn’t want to bite off more than I could chew with a more complex layout. I shuffled the deck really well, thinking about what I wanted to focus on, and then I pulled three cards. I placed them face down in a row in front of me, then turned them over one by one.
- The first card is supposed to represent the past.
- The second one is the present.
- The third card is the future, sort of.
I spent a while trying to figure out what the cards meant in my situation. I looked them up online and read a few different interpretations. It’s all kind of vague, so you’ve got to use your intuition a bit, and try to relate it to what’s going on in your life.
After that, I decided to try a little ritual. Nothing major, just lighting a candle and focusing on my intentions. It’s more about setting the mood and getting in the right headspace, you know? I sat there for a while, just breathing and thinking about what I wanted to achieve.
Then I picked one of the cards that seemed to resonate with me the most, and I tried to visualize it while I was meditating. I’m not sure if it did anything, but it was kind of relaxing, I guess. It felt good to just take some time for myself and focus on something other than work or whatever.
My Thoughts
Honestly, the whole thing is still a bit of a mystery to me. It’s not like I suddenly had all the answers to life’s big questions. I did this reading about my work, and the cards were saying something about changes and new beginnings. But I don’t feel like it gave me some kind of magical solution or anything, but I do think it got me thinking about things in a new way.
It’s more like it helps you tap into your own intuition and think about things from a different perspective. It’s like a tool for self-reflection or something like that. I’m not sure if I’ll ever really “get” it, but I do think I’ll keep messing around with it. It’s kind of fun, and it’s definitely a good way to learn more about yourself. It made me think about what I really want, and what I need to do to get there, that kind of thing.
Anyway, that’s my little tarot and magic experiment for the day. I’m still a beginner for sure, but I’m learning as I go. Maybe I’ll try a bigger spread next time, or maybe I’ll try to learn more about the different types of magic. Who knows? The possibilities are pretty endless, I guess.
