So, I’ve been getting into tarot lately, and I saw this “tarot deck dali” thing and thought, “Well, that sounds fancy!” I mean, Dali? The melting clocks guy? Doing tarot cards? I had to check it out.

My Little Adventure into Surrealist Tarot
First thing I did was, you know, look it up. Turns out, yeah, it’s a real thing! Salvador Dali actually designed a full tarot deck back in the day. It’s all colorful and, well, Dali-esque, with those signature surrealist vibes. I found some pictures of the cards, and whoa, they’re wild. Not your typical Rider-Waite imagery, that’s for sure. There are collages, and weird symbols and, you know, some pretty out-there stuff.
I decided to take a try with reading a few of the cards. I picked up a three cards randomly.
- First Card:What seem like a king is holding his wand.
- Second Card:This is the magician card.
- Third Card:There’s a queen holding a cup.
I was suprised when I saw those cards. They are very similar to normal tarot deck, expect for the style.
I am not a pro at tarot, but even I could see that these cards were something special. They’re like mini works of art! I’m actually thinking about printing these picture out just to hang them on my wall.

Overall, digging into this “tarot deck dali” thing was a fun little detour. It’s cool to see how such a famous artist put his own spin on something as old and mystical as tarot. Definitely not your everyday deck, but that’s what makes it so interesting!
