Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… astrology tapestry thing. I saw some pictures, and they got all sorts of stuff on ’em. Stars, moons, them… whatchamacallits… horoscopes? Yeah, that’s it.
Now, I ain’t no fancy city gal, but I know pretty when I see it. Some of them tapestries, they got animals and funny lines all over. They say it’s the stars, the sun, and the moon. Guess it’s supposed to tell you somethin’ ’bout your life or somethin’. Don’t make much sense to me, but they sure are somethin’ to look at.
They got all kinds, you know? Big ones, small ones. Some are dark, like the night sky, and others are bright and colorful, like a flower garden. I saw one with a big ol’ wheel, full of little pictures. They told me that’s a zodiac horoscope chart. Each little picture means somethin’, but I can’t remember what. Too much for my old brain, I tell ya.
People hang ’em up on the walls, like a big ol’ picture. Makes the room look fancy, I guess. They say you can put ’em in your bedroom, or your living room, even in them college dorm rooms. Kids these days, they like all sorts of strange things.
- Some tapestries are made for bedrooms. They call them “bedroom aesthetic”. Makes the room look nice and cozy, I reckon.
- Some are big and wide, for covering a whole wall. They call them “wide wall hanging”. Good for hidin’ them cracks in the wall, I suppose.
- And then there’s the ones with the bright colors, they say they’re for when you turn on the black light. They call it “blacklight tapestry”. Makes everything glow like magic, they say. Sounds like somethin’ from a fairy tale to me.
I heard tell they make ’em outta different stuff too. Some are cotton, some are… well, I don’t know what the other stuff is, but it feels soft and kinda silky. And they got all sorts of prices. Some are cheap, like a few dollars, and some are more expensive, like a fancy dress.
They also say these tapestries ain’t just for decoration. Some folks use them for… uh… “spiritual” things. Like that mandala tapestry, they say it’s somethin’ special in them… uh… “Buddhism” and “Hinduism” religions. It’s supposed to be the whole universe in one picture. Can you believe that? The whole universe! These city folks come up with the craziest ideas.
And them constellation tapestries, they ain’t just pretty pictures neither. They’re supposed to be maps of the stars. People used to look at the stars to tell time and stories, way back when. Kings and important folks even had tapestries made of battles and big events. Guess they didn’t have cameras back then, so they had to draw it all out on these big cloths. Imagine that!
Now, I saw one that was called a “tarot zodiac tapestry”. It had pictures of cards on it, like the ones them fortune tellers use. I don’t know much about that, seems a bit spooky to me. But folks seem to like it. They hang it up and think it brings them good luck or somethin’.
Anyways, these astrology tapestries, they seem like a nice thing to have. They’re pretty to look at, and they can make a room feel cozy and… what’s the word… “refined”. Yeah, that’s it. Refined. Even a simple old woman like me can appreciate that.
If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to spruce up your place, or maybe just somethin’ to look at and think about, these tapestries might just be the ticket. Just pick one you like the looks of, and don’t worry too much about what it all means. Sometimes, pretty is just pretty, and that’s good enough for me.
So, there you have it. My two cents on these astrology tapestries. They’re pretty, they’re different, and they seem to make folks happy. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it?
