So, it all started when I was browsing through different online courses, just to see what’s out there. I’ve always been interested in psychology, especially how it applies to the workplace. Then I stumbled upon this certificate program in industrial and organizational psychology, and it immediately caught my eye.
I dug a little deeper and found out that Park University offered a good one. I did some comparing, and it seemed like a solid option, especially since it was online and I could fit it into my schedule. The program was 18 credits, with six required courses. That sounded manageable, so I decided to enroll.
The courses were pretty interesting. We dove into topics like human behavior in organizations, organizational dynamics, and even a bit of administrative law. I remember one course, PSY 7521, which was particularly eye-opening. It covered all sorts of practical stuff about how to empower people in the workplace and make positive changes. Now, with this certificate under my belt, I’m thinking about what’s next. I know I can use this knowledge in various fields, like being a manager, working in HR, or even becoming a corporate trainer or a consultant. The possibilities are pretty broad, and I’m excited to see where this path takes me. I’m trying to keep an open mind and explore different opportunities.
