Okay, so I’ve been freaking out about finding a job, like, really freaking out. I’ve sent out a million resumes, and it feels like they’re just disappearing into a black hole. So, I got a little desperate and decided to check out this whole “astrology for job hunting” thing. I’m not usually into this kind of stuff, but hey, I figured, why not?

First, I needed to find my birth chart. I dug up my birth time (thanks, Mom!) and plugged it into some free online calculator. I think all the websites used were about the same, so I picked one that was random.
Reading the Birth Chart
And wow, it was, like, a whole bunch of circles and lines and symbols I didn’t understand. It was a little overwhelming. I stared at it and it felt like a foreign language
Next, I started Googling. I searched for stuff like “astrology career indicators” and “what does my midheaven mean?” and “when will i get a job astrology”. I scrolled through tons of articles and forum posts. It was a lot of information, and honestly, some of it was super confusing.
The Key Planets and Houses
I learned that certain planets and houses in your birth chart are supposed to be important for your career.

Like:
- The Midheaven (MC): Apparently, this is a big one. It’s supposed to represent your career path, public image, and overall life direction. I’ve never paid much attention to it before.
- The 10th House:This house is ruled by the MC and is all about career, reputation, and achievements.
- The 6th House: This one is more about your day-to-day work, skills, and service.
- The 2nd House: This house deals with your finances, income, and material possessions (which, you know, a job helps with!).
- Saturn: This planet is apparently about discipline, responsibility, and long-term goals. If it’s in a good position in your chart, it can mean career success, but it can also mean delays and challenges.
- Jupiter: This is the planet of luck, expansion, and opportunities. Having Jupiter well-placed is supposed to be a good sign for job prospects.
I tried to find these things in my own chart, but it was tough. There were so many lines and symbols… I definitely felt like I needed an astrology decoder ring.
Transits and Progressions
Then I learned about “transits” and “progressions.” Apparently, these are about how the planets are moving now and how they’re interacting with your birth chart. I looked up some current planetary transits and tried to figure out if any of them were hitting my career houses or planets.

It gets complicated because all the planets have a say
Honestly, it felt like looking for a needle in a haystack. There was so much going on! I did find some websites that offered personalized transit reports, but I am still not very sure.
My “Aha!” Moment (Maybe?)
After a few hours of digging, I think I found something interesting. It looked like Jupiter was going to be transiting my 10th house in a few months. From what I read, that’s supposed to be a really good time for career opportunities. I’m a little excited, I won’t lie.
So, am I going to land my dream job because of Jupiter? I have no idea. But, this whole astrology experiment did give me a little bit of hope. And it was kind of fun, in a nerdy, “I’m-decoding-the-universe” kind of way. I’m going to keep an eye on those transits and keep applying for jobs. Maybe, just maybe, the stars will align. If not, well, at least I learned a little bit about astrology, And that’s an experience in itself.
