I started my journey today with the Modern Witch Tarot Deck. It’s super cool how they took the old-school tarot idea and made it all modern and stuff. I grabbed a deck online—it was like twenty-seven bucks. Pretty good deal, I guess.
Unboxing and First Impressions
So, I got the package and ripped it open. The box itself is pretty neat, all colorful and modern-looking. Inside, there are the cards and this little guidebook. The cards feel okay in hand, not too flimsy. Each one has these really bright and diverse pictures on them. Lots of different women doing all sorts of things, wearing modern clothes, it’s like a celebration of being a woman or something. I flipped through them, and it’s way more fun than those old-timey tarot decks. These cards were pretty big though, like 3.5 x 5.25 inches, a bit of a handful, to be honest.
Diving into the Guidebook
I am not really good at reading, but I started going through the guidebook, it’s only 56 pages, which is nothing. It explains each card, what they mean, and how to do readings. I tried to make sense of it all, matching the cards to their meanings. I did a few practice readings, trying to figure out what the cards were saying about my past, present, and what might happen in the future. It’s kind of a trip, seeing how these pictures can tell a story about your life.
Playing Around with Readings
- I laid out the cards like the book said.
- Tried to connect the meanings to what’s going on with me.
- Did a few readings, some made sense, some were just confusing.
I messed around with different spreads and tried to see what I could get out of them. Sometimes the cards seemed to hit the nail on the head, other times, not so much. But it’s all in good fun, and it’s interesting to see how these modern symbols connect to real-life stuff.
Wrapping Up
In the end, using the Modern Witch Tarot Deck was a cool experience. It’s a fresh take on tarot, with all these diverse and empowering images. It made the whole tarot thing more relatable and way less intimidating. I’m not saying I’m a tarot expert now or anything, but it’s a fun way to look at things from a different angle. Plus, it’s a nice break from the usual routine. I think I will keep playing with it, maybe get better at understanding the cards. It’s like a little adventure every time I do a reading.
