Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this whole “horoscopes” thing, specifically the ones by Jacqueline Bigar. You know, the daily readings that are supposed to give you some insight into your day? Yeah, those.
So, I started by finding a website that has these horoscopes. Just a simple search, you know, “Jacqueline Bigar daily horoscope” and boom, there it was.
Then, I picked my sign. I’m a Taurus, by the way, April 20 to May 20, so that’s the one I went for. Today, it says “Certain issues might arise today, possibly connected with a pet.” Well, I do have a cat, so I guess I’ll keep an eye on him. Not that he’s usually any trouble, but hey, you never know, right?
I also checked out what she had for Capricorns, just out of curiosity. It’s something about “engaging in a discussion with someone older or more experienced today who influences how you think about your future.” Sounds pretty serious. I kinda wonder who that older person might be. A boss? A parent? Maybe a mentor of some sort?
Now, I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a hundred percent sure about all this. The site says something about her horoscopes being the most popular on many major smartphones, and they tout them as being the “most accurate and compelling” out there. But, I also read somewhere that in some studies, people couldn’t really tell which horoscope was actually theirs when they were mixed up with others. Plus, they did this thing with “time twins” – people born within 5 minutes of each other – to see if there was any noticeable effect, and they found nothing. So, yeah, it’s all a bit up in the air, you know?
But, here’s the thing, I find it kinda fun. Even if it’s just a “generalization,” like some people say, it’s interesting to see what she comes up with each day. And, hey, even if the people writing these things are just finding “new ways to convey the same idea,” as I read somewhere, it doesn’t mean there isn’t a bit of truth in there somewhere. I mean, someone’s efforts on your behalf today might not impress you, but maybe acting like it’s the best thing ever could be a good move. “The more you flatter them now the harder they will try to please you later on,” as they say.
Here’s my routine:
- First, I wake up, grab my phone.
- Second, I hit up the website with Jacqueline Bigar’s horoscopes.
- Third, I find my sign, Taurus, and give it a read.
- Fourth, I might peek at other signs, just for kicks.
- Finally, I go about my day, maybe keeping the horoscope in the back of my mind.
So, that’s my little experiment with Jacqueline Bigar’s daily horoscopes. Is it all true? Probably not. Is it a bit of fun? I think so. And who knows, maybe there’s something to it. Only time will tell, right?
